Wakey, wakey, ladies! Early morning fitness sessions great way to shape up, say trainers Shona and Steff

Personal trainers Shona Paffey and Steff Woodman are very much morning people when it comes to workouts…just ask the bleary-eyed ladies who are currently being put through their paces in their fitness bootcamp.

The superfit duo believe the crack of dawn is the best time to get fit and that’s why 20 ladies gather at 6.15am three times a week — over an eight-week period — at The New Park Centre in Chichester.

And the early shape-up sessions are proving so popular that Shona and Steff are already taking bookings for their next ladies-only Body Confident Bootcamp in the New Year.

Shona, speaking after the first of the early morning workouts, explained: “After both having children and going on our own individual fitness journeys, we came together to create our Body Confident Bootcamp.

Keep Fit

“We are very passionate about helping women of all ages, sizes and backgrounds to feel confident in their own skin through the power of fitness and a healthier lifestyle.

“The early mornings give you a great start to the day. We used to have one session at night but we moved it to the morning as the ladies seem more inspired. Once you get home of an evening it can be a struggle to go out again. This way we can do the workouts and they can go off and do the school run and get on with the rest of their day.

“We also held a nutrition seminar with our nutrition coach who provided information about the option to add a nutritional bolt-on to run alongside the fitness bootcamp to enhance and optimise results.

“And we have another local company, Frog Hollow Catering, who came along to the event to promote and sell ‘super snacks’.”
