Brendon Cook is a proud Kiwi. So, when he was looking for a unique point of difference with regards to a new business he was launching, his pride in being a New Zealand national came to mind.

That was three years ago, and Kiwi Recruitment was born. Since then Brendon has overseen the development of the flourishing business, based in Chichester. And he is not backwards in coming forwards when taking the opportunity to encourage good natured banter regards his Kiwi origins.

Indeed, you may have heard Kiwi Recruitment’s unique radio advertisements to that affect!

Brendon, who hails from a place called Whakatane (its actual pronunciation has plenty of comic value…the initial two letters making the F sound), a town in the eastern Bay of Plenty region in the North Island of New Zealand.

But although a light-hearted approach is adopted when it comes to Kiwi Recruitment’s radio advertising campaign, it shouldn’t detract from what is a highly professional undertaking regards business.

Brendon explains: “Finding a job can be a daunting process and we’re here to help. Whether you are looking for anything from a short term unskilled role, to a highly skilled permanent role we can introduce you in a professional and supported manner to our network of jobs and companies to give you the best chance of success.

Kiwi Recruitment

“At Kiwi Recruitment, we strive to build good, solid relationships with both client and candidate. Our professional and positive approach means a consistently high level of customer service across the board.

“We understand that every individual is different, so always aim to get to know the person, their interests and hobbies as well as their future aspirations. Our aim is to ensure that all of our candidates reach their full potential, so this process helps us to gain a realistic idea of what employment options would suit them best.”

Brendon and his team of experts realise that not every person is suitable for every job, and at the same time not every client’s needs are the same. To that end special attention is paid to lining up the right candidate to be put forward for the right role.

Brendon adds: “We meet with our clients and candidates one to one to obtain a greater understanding of them or their business and how it works. We listen to candidate’s needs, time frames and discuss in detail what they are looking for. We won’t put a candidate forward for a role unless they and we are confident it would be a good skill match for them and a suitable working environment.”

Also seen as vital is communication, says Brandon. “We keep in constant contact with our candidates to ensure that our information is kept up-to-date and so that we know their availability from week to week.”

And Kiwi operatives will go the extra mile for the harmony of the business…literally. Because if they find a candidate who is able to work, but struggling with transport, they will endeavour to arrange transport.

Brendon concludes: “We’re always open and honest with our candidates and clients, available at any time to assist them. Our fresh and friendly approach means you’ll always be welcomed at our offices.

“Our business grows by referral, so we aim to provide the kind of service that people remember and then recommend to their friends and colleagues. That’s why everyone leaves feeling that their job search is being taken seriously and that they haven’t simply been asked to fill out a form.”

The manner in which Kiwi Recruitment conducts business doesn’t go unnoticed by clients, either. A quick glance at the testimonials proudly display on the company’s website will give youa flavour of the high esteem in which Brendon and his team are held.

One in particular stands out: “Brendon at Kiwi Recruitment not only comes up with the right people but he such a positive people person! No wonder he is in recruitment. We are a not for profit organisation and our budget is very tight, but Brendon goes the extra mile to give us support and always takes the time to make sure he meets our needs.”
